What began as a simple chat between neighbors has grown into a dynamic weekly forum. Every Tuesday morning at 9 a.m., the Community Center buzzes with energy as members gather for coffee, doughnuts, and compelling presentations. The group hosts a diverse array of speakers from our community and around the world, covering topics that span from current affairs and technology to history and the arts. Following each presentation, the floor opens for a lively question-and-answer session, where attendees can share their perspectives, delve deeper into the subject, and engage in stimulating discussion. More than just a lecture series, Men’s Coffee is an opportunity to build lasting bonds and strengthen the fabric of our community. It’s a welcoming environment to meet new people, connect with old friends, and enjoy the fellowship of shared interests. After its inception at the South Beach restaurant, the group’s popularity led to a move to the Community Center, establishing the foundational format of guest speakers that continues today. In the summer of 2024, a new Board was formed to guide the group into an exciting future. We invite all residents — long-time or new — to join this enriching tradition. Speakers at Men’s Coffee come from diverse backgrounds such as medicine, government, economics, business, securities, athletics, civic organizations, the arts and much more. Speakers are already booked for 2026 include Jim Huskey, a retired diplomat; Martin Barnes, a retired economist; Bill Matz, a retired Army general; and Collier County Sheriff Kevin Rambosk.
