Pelican Bay Lifestyle Guide 2026

Introduction Keeping the Main Thing the Main Thing As I reflect on this past year and look ahead to the season before us, something my daughter said to me as I began this role has stuck with me: “The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.” Those words from Stephen Covey have guided me throughout this transition. For Pelican Bay, the “main thing” is always delivering exceptional experiences to our members, and doing so requires the commitment of many hands and hearts. Gratitude for Team Members and Volunteers Every day, I am reminded of how fortunate we are to have such an extraordinary group of Foundation team members. Their dedication, creativity, and spirit of service make Pelican Bay a place of joy and connection. Our team has worked tirelessly to prepare for the year ahead, and they are eager to welcome you back for another season filled with energy and new possibilities. Equally important are the countless volunteers — residents with incredible skills and professional experience who generously give their time on committees, advisory groups, and special projects. Their wisdom and dedication strengthen our community immeasurably. To each of you: thank you. Building Unity The past year brought challenges that tested both our organization and our community. But together, with collaboration, transparency and respect, we have emerged stronger, united, and focused on the future. I am grateful to serve alongside six fellow Board members who listen, respect differing views, and always keep the long-term health and enjoyment of Pelican Bay at the center of our decisions. Our Partners at PBSD Pelican Bay relies on the strong partnership we share with the Pelican Bay Services Division. The PBSD Board and their management team work side-by-side with the Foundation on the priorities that matter most, like caring for our grounds, and preserving the character of our community. We are grateful for their steady support and collaboration, and we also see opportunities to build on this partnership to achieve even more together. By working in closer alignment, we can continue to make Pelican Bay a place we are all proud to call home. Looking Ahead with Purpose With your support, the Foundation has made important progress: • Preparing for the election in March to protect the integrity of our governance • Strengthening financial efficiency and reducing costs while preserving the exceptional experiences you expect • Advancing the long-term capital plan to anticipate needs such as an improved community center, hurricane resiliency, and aging infrastructure • Delivering the Community Park, a project rooted in Pelican Bay’s rich tradition of racquet sports, and one that will provide new opportunities for connection and activity for decades to come For a broader view of our direction, I encourage you to review the Foundation’s Strategic Plan — https://pelicanbay. org/group/pages/strategic-planningdocuments1 — which lays out our goals and vision for the years ahead. The Season Ahead Our focus remains clear: to create memorable experiences and provide a community where you can find peace, recreation, and joy. I am proud of the resilience we have shown, the unity we have built, and the commitment we share to keeping the main thing the main thing — which is you, our members. On behalf of the Foundation Board, our dedicated team members, and our valued partners at PBSD, I wish you a warm welcome to the 2026 season.
