Program offerings include private and group instruction, pickleball and tennis field trips, traveling teams, cardio tennis, team clinics, exhibitions, weekly round-robins, mixers and events, remote ball machine rental, and court reservations up to four days in advance, as well as open play. Adding to the excitement, the new pickleball facility was named a Regional Certification & Training Facility by RacketPro (RPO), allowing members to become certified pickleball professionals or coaches. Meet your Racquets Team Maury Bozman joined Pelican Bay in July 2020 as director of tennis before transitioning to his current role as director of community center & racquets in early 2022. Currently, he oversees all aspects of operation at the Community Center, Fitness Center, and Racquets Facilities. Prior to Pelican Bay, he served as the racquets general manager for Columbia Association, where he successfully programmed, hired, and developed the team for both Long Reach Tennis and Owen Brown Pickleball clubs in Columbia, Maryland, expanding the community’s racquets portfolio to 43 courts. In addition to holding a Florida CAM certification, he previously held leadership roles with Midtown and Club Corp of America. Most recently, he led the Pelican Bay Foundation to become the 2025 USTA National Facility of the Year Award Recipient and created the operational plan for the Pelican Bay Community Park’s Tennis and Pickleball Facility. He is a lifelong learner who is passionate about continuous personal and professional development.
