Pelican Bay Lifestyle Guide 2026

Welcome to Pelican Bay, the heart of racquets sports in Southwest Florida! We are excited to offer premier programming and events across our three fantastic locations: • The North Racquets Center at the Pelican Bay Community Center (8960 Hammock Oak Drive) • The South Racquets Center at The Commons (6249 Pelican Bay Boulevard) • Pelican Bay Community Park (764 Vanderbilt Beach Road) As one of the most active racquets communities in the region, members and guests enjoy access to 18 Har- Tru tennis courts for professional instruction, regular round-robin mixers, and numerous leagues and events. We are also thrilled to announce the development of a brand-new Racquets Center at the Community Park, which will add eight more tennis courts, further cementing Pelican Bay as the ultimate destination for racquet sports enthusiasts. We are thrilled to announce a groundbreaking new initiative for our tennis communities this season. Designed to foster inclusivity and create new opportunities for competitive play, we are introducing a new pathway for players to join league teams and represent Pelican Bay. For years, we’ve heard from members who are eager to participate in league play but have found it challenging to join established teams due to limited availability. To address this, we developed a program to ensure every interested player has a chance to compete. This season, we are launching official league tryouts for tennis. In partnership with premier organizations — USTA for Tennis and PaddleWar for pickleball — we will host tryouts to form brand-new teams. These tryouts will provide a platform for us to evaluate player levels and create well-balanced teams ready for competition. Once formed, these new teams will be registered in their respective leagues to compete against other clubs in the area, proudly representing Pelican Bay. To ensure our new teams are set up for success, we will ensure there are touchpoints with our Racquets Pros to help guide you on skill and team development. Mark your calendars! Tryouts are scheduled for November and December, with official league play set to begin in late January 2026. Below are the upcoming round- robins, clinics, and special events tailored for our community. This initiative marks a significant step forward for our Racquet Sports programs. We are confident it will bring fresh energy to the courts and build a new tradition of competitive excellence and community for seasons to come. We look forward to seeing you at the tryouts!
