committee meetings and advisory boards (such as Parks and Recreation and the Coastal Advisory committees). We consistently keep you informed with timely e-blasts addressing current Pelican Bay issues, events, challenges, situations and information that you may find relevant and actionable. Our Board meetings are open to all members and are sometimes offered via Zoom. Occasionally, we combine social events with our meetings to have a little fun, too! The PBPOA organizes and facilitates significant ‘Listen & Learn’ seminars that serve as an educational platform for members to engage and become knowledgeable in matters of importance and interest to the community. Recent seminar topics included ‘All About Insurance’ – post Hurricane Ian and the Surfside collapse; ‘All Things Traffic’ – the dangers of traffic and noise on U.S. 41 with the Florida Department of Transportation and supporting local agencies; The Collier County Clerk’s Office on Property Fraud – How to protect your property from white-collar criminals filing fake deeds or other land records through their risk alert notification program and how to look up public records; ‘The Tax Man Cometh,’ with the Collier Property Appraiser’s office – Explaining the ‘Save our Homes Act,’ how to save on your property taxes, who qualifies and what Homestead portability means; and more. Now that Pelican Bay is essentially built out and is being “redeveloped,” the PBPOA’s mission is more relevant than ever if we want to continue to protect our Pelican Bay legacies and ensure that the goals of maintaining and elevating the Pelican Bay quality of life and protecting property values remain. Over its four-decade existence, our wonderful community has been blessed with outstanding leadership. These men and women who have served Pelican Bay as board members, committee members, association leaders and valuable employees have followed their commitment of accepting nothing short of excellence with appropriate decisions and actions. We enjoy Pelican Bay life today because of them and their leadership. Being a member of the Pelican Bay Property Owners Association gives you a voice in Pelican Bay affairs. We have no agenda as an organization. Our members define what we advocate. Help us protect your investment in Pelican Bay by becoming a member. Our annual dues are a modest $50 per year per household. Please consider becoming a member of the oldest organization in Pelican Bay by rewarding yourself with a PBPOA family membership. You’ll be glad you did! For your convenience, the PBPOA offers two options for paying your annual membership dues.
