Guest Card Practices The owner and/or renter of a unit in Pelican Bay is in control of who receives guest cards. Guest cards are intended for family members visiting you as well as friends who are staying in your unit. As a practical matter, we understand that, given the size of some families, it is not physically possible to have everyone stay at your unit. We understand that some family members may have to stay at local area hotels. Local guests (Lee and Collier County full-time and seasonal residents) are not eligible for guest cards. However, they may accompany a member to the beach and restaurants. Everyone in possession of a guest card must have a valid government-issued photo ID with them at all times or a photo of it on their cell phone. The following Q & A hopefully provides guidance as to who is eligible for a guest card. The guest card is not intended for any friends who happen to be in the general area of Naples. In this case, the solution is to accompany your guests. Each owner can bring up to six guests with them to the beach. Guest Card Questions Q. Who needs a guest card? • Houseguests of Member who will use the Foundation amenities while not accompanied by the Member. • Houseguests of Member using Tennis and Fitness facilities must have a guest card, even if accompanied by the Member. Q. How many guest cards can I purchase? • There is no limit on the number of guest cards per Master account. • There is a limit of 30 days within any 12-month period for guests not related to the Member. • Relatives of Members are not limited in days for guest cards. However, a maximum of a 30-day card can be made at a time. Q. How can I order guest cards? Guest cards cannot be ordered by phone or in person. All guest cards must be ordered online. • Log into PelicanBay.org as a Member and complete a guest card request form online (found under “Members.”) Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation email. Q. Can my guests renew their own guest cards? A. No. The member would have to make a new reservation for the new dates requested. Q. What if the office is closed when we need to get the guest cards? A. Currently, prepaid guest cards ordered by 3 p.m. during normal business hours are available for after-hour pickup outside The Commons through our locker system. Q. Can my guest take other guests with them to dinner or the beach? A. No, only Members can take guests.
