Pelican Bay Lifestyle Guide 2026

More About Pelican Bay Established in 1984, the Pelican Bay Property Owners Association (PBPOA) emerged from a desire among residents for a unified voice during Pelican Bay’s formative years. Originally the community’s only residents’ organization, the PBPOA has evolved significantly. Initially, the Pelican Bay Foundation Board was largely comprised of developers who managed zoning and common areas. Over time, control shifted to the Foundation, which now serves as an oversight body dedicated to protecting residential property values. Today, the PBPOA represents approximately 3,000 households, encompassing around 6,000 Pelican Bay residents. Our core mission remains steadfast: to champion and safeguard property values within our community. We actively engage in initiatives that directly impact residents’ quality of life and property values. Recent examples of the PBPOA’s advocacy include playing a crucial role in mitigating the impact of Stock Development’s One Naples project through collaborative engagement, as well as advocating against developments and infrastructure changes perceived as detrimental to the community. The PBPOA is committed to keeping residents informed and engaged. We regularly host Community Workshops and Candidate Forums, providing valuable insights into topics ranging from proposed state constitutional amendments to evolving condominium laws and local emergency services. We also celebrate outstanding contributions to Pelican Bay through our annual Person-of-the-Year award, recognizing individuals like Kay Potter, Joe Adams, and Ross Obley for their exceptional dedication to our community. The PBPOA fosters a strong sense of community through various events. While temporarily paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are actively exploring the return of popular social gatherings like the Year Rounders and off-season events, which have been a tradition since 1998. With the continued support of our members, the PBPOA remains dedicated to serving the best interests of Pelican Bay residents and upholding our community’s exceptional standards. The PBPOA holds regularly scheduled Board meetings and hosts informative Lunch & Learn events throughout the season. Visit www.pbpoa.org for more information. Monthly Board meetings are held at the Pelican Bay Community Center on the following Thursdays this season: Dec. 11, Jan. 8, Feb. 12, March 12, April 9 and May 14.
