Joining the Pelican Bay Women’s League (PBWL) is one of the best ways to make meaningful friendships and enjoy engaging activities while in residence. More than 25 years ago, a group of spirited women in Pelican Bay came together to create an organization that would enrich the lives of its members. Today, that same vision thrives stronger, more vibrant, and more connected than ever. Membership in PBWL adds warmth, friendship, and fulfillment to life in Pelican Bay. Beyond a full calendar of events, the League offers something even more meaningful — a genuine sense of sisterhood. Through shared experiences, laughter and learning, Pelican Bay feels like home. Wherever women gather, friendship naturally follows. Whether attending luncheons, learning something new, playing cards, planning a party, joining a book club, or simply enjoying good conversation, PBWL provides countless ways to connect and belong. The League’s all-volunteer Board curates a diverse mix of social, cultural, and educational programs that bring our community together. From October through May, members enjoy monthly luncheons at some of Naples’ most beautiful country clubs and restaurants, complete with themes, guest speakers, and professional entertainment. Seasonal highlights include social gatherings, private museum and garden tours, theatre and music events that celebrate the cultural life of Naples. The League also offers a Speaker Series, featuring women of accomplishment from within Pelican Bay and the Naples community, and partners with the Pelican Bay Foundation to cosponsor the annual Pelican Bay Art Show — a favorite spring tradition. The Women’s League’s outreach groups extend the organization’s warmth into the larger community. The Kneedlers create knitted and crocheted items for local charities. The Songbirds share the joy of music through performances at elder care facilities and community concerts.
