entry to the North Boardwalk.
While it is beneficial for all our residents to have extended
time to explore the mangrove forest, it is critical that the
session times be adhered to. Foundation Security personnel
monitor the return time of each canoe and kayak to ensure
your safe return.
The boat dock is located below the boardwalk on the
south side as you reach the first bay view. You will need to
unlock the gate to walk down the stairs to the boat dock.
Please remember to lock the gate behind you.

pages 65-68 of this Guide and is available at The Commons
front desk. Enjoy a wondrous journey through this precious
estuary.
SEA KAYAKING
Sea kayaks are available at both beaches on a first-come,
first-serve basis with a one-hour time limit. See the beach
attendant at either beach beginning at 9 a.m. A waiver
is required.
Rules for Sea Kayak Use:
• Life jackets must be worn at all times
• Kayaks hours are 9am to ONE HOUR BEFORE
SUNSET
• Must be 14-over to operate a kayak. Children under 14
are not allowed as a passenger unless the operator of the
kayak is 18.
• If operator is under 18, the waiver must be signed by
the parent.
• If a guest without an ID card, the member-sponsor
must complete the waiver and co-sign.
• Stay within the boundaries. Boundaries are close to
shore but not within range of immediate shoreline (swim-
mers), no further north than the Sandpiper restaurant, and
no further south than past Clam Pass.
• Do not dive or swim from the kayak
• Do not collide with other kayaks
• Time is limited to one hour when others are waiting.
• Return kayak, paddles & lifejackets to the beach
attendant after use.
• Report any damage or missing paddles/life jackets.
