What’s the basic information I need to know for tennis?
• Tennis Facilities may only be used by persons holding
a Foundation-issued card and their accompanied guests.
Persons holding guest cards may not bring guests.
• We offer two locations for tennis:

The South Tennis Center is located at The Commons
and has 10 courts.
»
The North Tennis Center is located at the Community
Center and has eight lighted courts.
• All courts are Har-tru.
• Court reservations are requested through our computerized
Chelsea reservation system or by contacting the pro shop at
597-4497.

Chelsea may be accessed via PelicanBay.org (click on
‘Amenities’ and then on ‘Tennis.’ Here, you will find a link
to Chelsea court requests).
»
Full Chelsea reservation system instructions are available
at both tennis centers as well as on the website.
• All players are required to check in at the pro shop
before play to swipe
their Member ID card,
guest pass or pay a
tennis guest fee.
• Two pro shops are
available for your use,
one at each location,
and they offer:

Fitness, Yoga
and Activewear
»
Racquets
»
Footwear and
accessories
»
Racquet re-gripping
and restringing service
• Appropriate tennis
attire is required. Beach
clothing, cutoffs, sports
bras, bathing suits and
men’s tank tops are
not permitted.
• Only tennis shoes are allowed on the courts—other shoes
damage the playing surface.
• Children under 13 years old must be accompanied by an
adult when on the court.
