If you wish to change the email
address at which you receive the Foun-
dation’s weekly e-newsletter, “Today
in the Bay,” simply scroll all the way
to the bottom of the e-newsletter and
click on ‘Update Profile/Email
Address.’ This will
take you to a
web page with
a form where
you may change
your email
address for future
e-newsletters.
MOBILE APP
The Pelican Bay
mobile application
allows members to
obtain information in
the palm of their hands
via their smartphone
and/or tablet. It provides
members with tools to
integrate their device with
Foundation phone num-
bers, GPS coordinates, and
optimized e-forms. Community News
is also available at the touch of a but-
ton. The mobile app provides members
with real-time notifications—address-
ing the delivery of time-sensitive
information. These “push notifica-
tions” allow us to send quick and suc-
cinct messages directly to you within
the application such as breaking news
and alerts, traffic advisory updates,
construction updates and closures.
Some added fun features of this
particular app include recording and
sending a “voice note” to the Founda-
tion and sending us a photo straight
from the app.
Members can download the Pelican
Bay mobile application by visiting
the Apple App Store or Google Play
Store, searching for “Pelican Bay
Foundation” and looking for the
Pelican Bay logo.
DIGITAL DISPLAY BOARDS
High definition television displays
or digital display boards, are placed
throughout various Founda-
tion locations such as tram
stations, beach restaurants
and Foundation buildings.
Digital signage technology
broadcasts information in
real time with community
information such as
meetings, special events,
promotions and
other important
information.
WIRELESS
HOTSPOTS
The Founda-
tion has several
wireless hotspots
throughout the
property.
As of late, the
Foundation has recognized
the increased use of mobile devices
from members and guests. These
hotspots have been optimized to
accommodate signal strength for
all types of Internet browsing,
download, and streaming.
To connect to wireless, just use your
computer to view available wireless
networks and select PBF-Members.
No password is needed once
connected. Some of the Wi-Fi
hotspots with coverage are:
• The Commons
• Commons Tram Station 4
• Sandbar Restaurant and Sunset Café
(South Beach)
• South Beach Boutique
• Marker 36 Restaurant (North Beach)
• Community Center, which includes
the Fitness Center and dedicated
common rooms
