Howdo I obtainamembership card?
A.
After closing on your new home
in Pelican Bay, you may come to The
Commons (hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5
p.m. M-F) with your driver’s license or
government-issued photo ID, warranty
deed and Settlement Closing Statement
to obtain your membership card. Please
arrive no later than 4 p.m. so we have
ample time to answer your questions.

If it has been longer than two
weeks since your closing, call or email
Member Services to confirm if your
closing agent has submitted the neces-
sary documentation listed in order
to process your membership card. If
Member Services has received your
paperwork, please bring your driver’s
license or government-issued photo
ID. We will be taking a photo to be
positioned on your membership card.
Q.
Howdo I usemymembership card?
A.
Carry your card on you when
using Foundation amenities. Your
card will be swiped or scanned to gain
access to beaches, Pelican Bay restau-
rants, sailboats, kayaks, canoes, trails,
the Community Center, Fitness Center
and various classes and activities
throughout Pelican Bay.
Q.
How much does a membership
card cost?
A.
Membership cards do not cost
anything if you are obtaining them
for the first time or renewing. However,
there is a charge for a lost card of $25.
Caregiver cards cost $50 and are issued
to a full-time live-in caregiver for a
period of sixmonths. Please accompany
your caregiver or send along a signed
letter approving your designated care-
giver to receive a card. Government-
issued photo ID must be presented.
Q.
Can I take other guests with me
to dinner or the beach?
A.
Yes, you can take up to six people
with you on your membership card. If
your guest wants to access Foundation
facilities and amenities on their own,
a guest pass must be purchased by the
member on the guest’s behalf from
Guest Services.
Q.
Do children need member-
ship cards?
A.
Children 12 and under do not
need membership cards, but must
be accompanied by someone with a
Foundation-issued membership card.
Teenagers 13 and over must have their
own membership card (dependent card)
if not accompanied by a member.
Q.
Can I access amenities at Pelican
Bay with a picture of my member pass
on my phone?
A.
No. You must present your actual
member card to be scanned at all Peli-
can Bay amenities and tram stations.
Q.
If ownership of my unit is in the
name of a trust, partnership, corpora-
tion or LLC, can all the listed members
of that entity get member cards?
